Carman-Ainsworth volleyball team sweeps quad match

Photo by Kylee Richardson FLINT – The Carman-Ainsworth volleyball team swept its home quad last Thursday, defeating Swartz Creek 22-25, 25-19, 25-23, then Imlay City 25-23, 25-18, and finally Byron 25-12, 25-19.

Mary Dollinger was present all over the court, posting 25 digs, eight aces and a team-high 34 assists. Aniya Harmon was just as effective with 32 assists, 14 digs and five aces. Diamond Lester aided the offensive firepower with 23 kills, 24 digs and seven aces. Destiny Johnson added 19 kills and five blocks. Angel Eubanks also finished with 15 kills and five blocks, while Hannah Thurston added 34 digs to solidify the defensive effort.

Carman-Ainsworth, 11-16-4 overall and 1-3 in league play, hosts Kearsley tonight at 7 p.m.
