Meeting location changed

FLINT TWP. – The monthly meeting of the West Flint Business Association has moved to a new location. The group will meet from noon to 1:15 p.m. today, Sept. 21 at Ruggeros, 5311 Corunna Road Chris Flores, Vice President of Business Development for Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Center, will be the guest speaker. He will talk about the alcohol/ drug/opioid issues in the community and the effects and availability of treatment. Sacred Heart was founded in Detroit in 1967 and has grown to become a nationally accredited, comprehensive behavioral health service provider. Also at the meeting, this year’s winner of the Don Eve Achievement Award will be announced. Don Eve was a founding member of the WFBA. The meeting is open to the public. – R.S.

FLINT TWP. — Flint Bishop International Airport will host its fourth TSA PreCheck Enrollment Center on Monday, October 16 through Friday, October 20. TSA PreCheck is an expedited screening program that enables identified low-risk air travelers to enjoy a more efficient screening experience. Applicants are encouraged to pre-enroll ahead of time at https://www.identogo.com/precheck. The application process is completed on site where TSA captures fingerprints for a background check and collects the $85 application fee for five years of service. The fee can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted. Bring proof of identity and U.S. citizen documentation (such as a U.S. Passport or a birth certificate and a driver license). C-A schools open to community use

FLINT TWP. — Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools encourages the use of school facilities by district residents. Groups, agencies and institutions conducting programs in school facilities play an important role in the community education process.
